Losing a loved one is among life's most difficult moments. The Islamic Center of Hewitt is committed to supporting families during this time with compassion, dignity, and adherence to Islamic traditions.

Our funeral services include:

• Ghusl (ritual washing) performed with care and reverence by trained community members
• Kafan (shrouding) in accordance with Islamic tradition
• Salat al-Janazah (funeral prayer) led by our Imam at the center
• Coordination with local cemeteries for burial arrangements
• Community support — meals, companionship, and prayers for the bereaved family

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam — a spiritual obligation that purifies wealth and supports those in need. The Islamic Center of Hewitt facilitates Zakat collection and distribution to ensure that these sacred funds reach eligible recipients in our community and beyond.

We distribute Zakat to the eight categories specified in the Quran:

• The poor and the needy
• Those employed to collect Zakat
• Those whose hearts are to be reconciled
• Those in bondage
• Those in debt
• In the cause of Allah
• The wayfarer
