Mission Statement
The Islamic Center of Hewitt is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community that embraces the diversity of its members. Rooted in the teachings of Islam, we strive to promote compassion, understanding, and civic engagement among all who seek spiritual growth and community connection.
Through prayer, education, and outreach initiatives, we aim to build bridges of understanding and cooperation with our neighbors of all faiths and backgrounds. Our mission is to uphold the values of peace, justice, and service, creating a nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Our History
The Islamic Center of Hewitt was established in 2005 and is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. What began as a small gathering of families has grown into one of the most vibrant and diverse Muslim communities in Central Texas.
Over the years, our center has become more than a mosque — it is a true community hub. We host daily prayers, educational programs, youth activities, interfaith events, and community celebrations that bring together dozens of different ethnicities under one roof.
Our growth reflects the strength and generosity of our community members, whose unwavering dedication has transformed this center into a beacon of faith and service for the entire region.
